WILMETTE, Ill., October 4, 2019 — Illinois Bone & Joint Institute (IBJI) physician Van Stamos, MD, presents on the latest technology on joint replacements for the aging generation. Dr. Stamos is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who specializes in hip and knee replacements. He will present on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Citadel of Wilmette, 432 Poplar Drive, Wilmette, IL 60091.
Dr. Stamos offers patients MAKO unicompartmental and MAKO total knee arthroplasty, which increases the accuracy of the joint replacement. Dr. Stamos keeps informed of the latest developments in his field through his work teaching orthopedic surgery residents as a Senior Clinician Educator at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine and teaching fellow surgeons on behalf of the American Academy of Hip and Knee Surgeons, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and medical implant companies. He has conducted clinical research in multiple areas including examining surgical outcomes related to implant positioning.
