Biography
Andrew Benck, MD is a board certified rheumatologist who specializes in the treatment of autoimmune and musculoskeletal disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, seronegative spondyloarthropathy, vasculitis, myositis, sarcoidosis, osteopenia, osteoporosis, and osteoarthritis.
He received his undergraduate degrees in accounting and business administration from the University of Southern California. After working as a certified public accountant for several years, he pursued a medical career, earning a medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Chicago. He completed his internal medicine residency at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles and worked at UCLA as a hospitalist prior to completing his fellowship in rheumatology at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago.
His practice focuses on diagnosing and treating adults with autoimmune and musculoskeletal conditions.
Dr. Benck practices shared decision-making with his patients, allowing for a tailored approach to effective treatment that his patients are comfortable with. His goal for each patient is to control disease activity, improve functionality and comfort, and improve quality of life.
In his spare time, Dr. Benck enjoys traveling, skiing, and spending time with his family.
