Biography
Christ Pavlatos is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon who specializes in sports medicine. He treats knee and shoulder problems, including rotator cuff tears, torn labrum, and knee ligament injuries. His practice includes high school, college and adult recreational athletes. Dr. Pavlatos has extensive experience in arthroscopic surgery, which reduces pain and speeds recovery times. Drawn to medicine by the combination of his interest in science and desire to help people, Dr. Pavlatos wanted to be a physician ever since he was five years old.
His approach to care stresses aggressive physical therapy as an alternative to surgery and as a means of speeding recovery when surgery is needed. Recognizing that patients do better when they are empowered to play an active role in their care, he makes certain to spend enough time with his patients to ensure they understand their condition, their treatment options and the rehabilitation process. He combines clinical excellence with compassion to earn patients’ trust and to achieve good outcomes for them. His goal is for his patients to be pain-free and functionally able to return to their desired activities.
Orthopedics is a very rewarding specialty because you can treat patients who have been injured and return them to their previous level of function."
