Biography
Dr. William Mosenthal is a fellowship-trained orthopedic spine surgeon with extensive training in specialized back, neck, and spine care. He uses robust, evidence-based treatment plans and procedures and is committed to patient-centered care and optimizing outcomes for spine-related conditions, injuries, and deformities. His expertise includes computer-navigated, robotic-assisted, and minimally invasive spine surgery as well as disc removal, cervical disc replacement, decompression, and fusion. A graduate of St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York, Dr. Mosenthal earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth in Hanover, New Hampshire. He then completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Chicago Medical Center. He went on to receive advanced subspecialty training in spine surgery through an exclusive, yearlong fellowship at Twin Cities Spine Center in Minneapolis.
Dr. Mosenthal has authored a number of peer-reviewed articles, reviews, book chapters, and abstracts and has presented his work at national meetings. His interests include developing standardized documentation for stronger, evidence-based practices to help optimize patient outcomes. In addition, Dr. Mosenthal is passionate about improving the quality of spine-related information available to patients and creating a collaborative network of resources, surgical and nonsurgical, available for patients in a centralized locale.
