William P. Mosenthal, MD

Dr. William Mosenthal is a board certified, fellowship-trained, orthopedic spine surgeon with extensive training in specialized back, neck, and spine care. He uses robust, evidence-based treatment plans and procedures and is committed to patient-centered care and the optimization of outcomes for spine-related conditions, injuries, and deformities. His expertise includes computer-navigated, robotic-assisted, and minimally invasive spine surgery, including neural decompression, cervical disc replacement, lumbar and cervical decompression and fusion, and sacroiliac joint fusion. A graduate of St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York, Dr. Mosenthal earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth in Hanover, New Hampshire. He then completed his orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Chicago Medical Center. He went on to receive advanced subspecialty training in spine surgery through an exclusive, yearlong fellowship at Twin Cities Spine Center in Minneapolis. 

Dr. Mosenthal has authored a number of peer-reviewed articles, reviews, book chapters, and abstracts and has presented his work at national meetings. He is dedicated to helping patients improve their pain, function, and quality of life in the least invasive way possible, moving forward with surgery only when all nonsurgical options have been exhausted.
