Amy began her career as an Occupational Therapist in 1990 after receiving her Masters Degree from New York University. She worked in various subspecialties before deciding to specialize in hands. Amy became a CHT in 1998 and worked in outpatient care at Columbia Presbyterian and the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York before moving with her family to Chicago. She is experienced with close collaborative approaches, devising individualized evaluations and treatment plans for a wide range of acute, post-surgical and chronic conditions involving the hand, wrist and elbow. She has developed her expertise in splinting and has created customized splints for professional athletes and musicians.
Amy’s undergraduate degree is in Art, and she continues to develop her skills by doing ceramics, painting, drawing, knitting, and various crafting.
