Biography
Angela has been a physical therapist for 10 years, working primarily in outpatient orthopedics. She studied exercise science at Illinois State University and then went on to pursue her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Bradley University. She joined the IBJI team in December of 2021. Angela enjoys treating a wide variety of patients with orthopedic conditions, including both post-surgical and non-surgical patients. Angela strives to incorporate evidence-based practice and provide hands-on care to improve patients’ quality of life and maximize their functional independence. She believes patient education and involvement are key to their success in the rehabilitation process.
Angela has previously served as a clinical instructor to physical therapy students throughout her 10 years as a PT, and she enjoys providing them with a structured and effective learning environment. Angela continues to incorporate ongoing evidence-based practice and research into her treatment plans by attending continuing education courses and self-study. She integrates a wide variety of techniques to her interventions, including but not limited to manual therapy, Mulligan, McKenzie, and Maitland techniques.
In her free time, she loves spending time with her husband, their two children, and their dog Winnie, in Manteno, Illinois.
