Biography
John joined Illinois Bone & Joint in 2013 after graduating from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science. John has worked at the Highland Park, Bannockburn, and now Glenview locations. Born and raised in nearby Libertyville, IL he enjoys treating patients in the Chicago suburbs. His interest in physical therapy sparked early on in high school when rehabilitating from his own injuries.
John believes that patients receiving therapy at IBJI have an advantage given the strong network and close clinician-physician relationships. His own treatment philosophy is geared towards empowering patients to take control of his or her situation. At the core, this revolves around patient education and setting realistic expectations at the initial evaluation. He believes treatment to all areas of the body present unique challenges and is specifically passionate about working with foot and ankle injuries, runners, and soccer players.
John played soccer collegiately at Augustana College and has shifted his athletic focus to running. He is an avid Chicago sports and European soccer fan. He is the leader of the IBJI Foot and Ankle Special Interest Group, organizes the annual IBJI Running Clinics, and has been a clinical instructor for physical therapy students.
