Biography

Julia Swider, PT, DPT, completed her undergraduate studies at Elmhurst College with a B.S in exercise science and a minor in Spanish language. She continued her education at the University of Illinois at Chicago where she obtained her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in the spring of 2024. 

Julia was drawn to the field of physical therapy due to the unique ability of physical therapists to assist patients not only physically but also in improving the mental and emotional aspects that often accompany physical ailments. She is devoted to providing her patients with the education, support, and confidence that they need to return to doing what they love in life. She strives to ensure that her sessions are productive, informational, and most of all, fun! Julia has experience treating diverse populations with varying conditions, and she especially enjoys treating osteoarthritis of various joints, total knee replacements, conditions of the shoulder, and pediatric orthopedic conditions. 

Julia was born and raised on the northwest side of Chicago and enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, working out, and spending time outdoors. Julia also speaks fluent Polish.
