Biography

Kelly is a graduate of Chapman University’s doctorate of physical therapy program in California. Originally from Long Beach, California, she attended Adrian College in Adrian, Michigan to complete her Bachelor of Science in exercise science with minors in dance and psychology. While at Adrian College, she was a captain and member of the collegiate varsity synchronized skating team. Throughout her physical therapy academic career, Kelly gained experience in outpatient orthopedics specializing in the foot/ankle, pediatrics, and the skilled nursing facility setting focusing on fall prevention. 

Kelly enjoys working with all patient ages and diagnoses with special interests in sports-related injuries, especially for figure skaters and dancers. With her background in competitive figure skating, she is able to relate her own experiences and injuries in order to help current patients in recovery and return to sport at their optimal performance level. As a new member to the IBJI team, she is looking forward to collaborating with other clinicians in order to provide the best plan of care for each individual patient. 

Outside of work she continues to compete in synchronized skating competitively at the senior level, enjoys traveling, running, finding new coffee shops in the northern Illinois suburbs, and spending time with family and friends.
