Biography

Growing up in the Northwest side of Chicago, Samantha attended Trinity High School and later went on to graduate from North Park University in 2014 with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. During her undergraduate years, Samantha worked as a rehab tech where she began to develop a strong interest in physical therapy. After graduating college, Samantha decided to explore her career options, working as a wellness coordinator and exercise specialist.

Her passion for promoting healthy lifestyles and helping others continued to flourish and it was then when she had decided to go back to work part time as a rehab tech and pursue a degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant at Oakton. During that time, Samantha had gained clinical experience working in skilled nursing facilities, the oncology department at Northwestern Hospital and two other outpatient clinics. She also served as a representative for the Student Special Interest Group of the Illinois Physical Therapy Association.

As for her personal interests, Samantha enjoys spending time with friends and family, working out, traveling, and cheering on the Cubs and Bears! She is a current member of the APTA and is interested in treating a wide variety of diagnoses and helping to improve the overall function of her patients.
