Since beginning her PT career in 2001, Tara has thrived on building strong relationships with her patients and customizing her treatment programs to fit each patient’s personal goals. She emphasizes the use of manual therapy and careful exercise prescription for pain relief and improved mobility. In 2012, she passed the Orthopedic Clinical Specialist certification exam through the APTA. Tara's special interests include sports-specific therapy for athletes of all ages, as well as post-operative knee, hip, and shoulder rehab. She has received advanced training in myofascial release, IASTM, Pilates, cupping, kinesiotaping, compression wrapping, and blood flow restriction therapy. In 2022, she obtained her CYT-200 yoga teacher certification.
Tara, a second degree black belt in Shotokan karate, trains and competes in karate regularly. As a professional violinist and pianist, Tara is also knowledgeable about the issues common to musicians suffering from playing-related injuries, and as a karate-ka and yoga practitioner, she is familiar with the unique physical demands and benefits of both disciplines. Tara speaks conversational Spanish as well as a little Croatian. She is passionate about travel, baking, music, karate...and all things Croatia, thanks to her heritage.
