Biography

Tia is originally from Elkhorn, Wisconsin and has always had a passion for medicine. She graduated magna cum laude from Loyola University Chicago with a bachelor’s degree in biology while playing and coaching rugby for their women’s club team. She went on to complete her master’s degree in physician assistant studies at Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Illinois. 

Tia joined Dr. Tom Antkowiak’s team in September of 2024 and loves working in sports medicine with athletes. She works in clinic and assists during surgery. She also provides coverage for orthopedic urgent care. She specializes in the shoulder, knee and hip but also sees a wide variety of other patient problems. Continuity of care is important to her and she takes pride in seeing her patients progress from surgery back to their daily activities, free of pain. 

In her free time she enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing with her pets, watching rugby, attending sporting events, and traveling.
